Individual Counseling

Personalized, trauma-informed therapy that helps you feel grounded, supported, and more connected to yourself and others.

Our Approach to Counseling

We practice person-centered counseling - we believe you are the expert on your own experience. That means we start with you—your story, your pace, and your goals. You can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space where your experiences are met with empathy, curiosity, and respect.

We don’t prescribe a one-size-fits-all plan. Instead, we work together to uncover what matters most to you, gently exploring patterns, emotions, and strengths along the way. Whether you’re navigating new parenthood, healing from trauma, managing anxiety, or simply seeking more connection and clarity, we trust your inner wisdom to guide the process—while offering tools, reflections, and support that help you create meaningful, lasting change.

What Does the Process Look Like?

  1. Relationship Building
Your first few sessions will be focused on building trust and connection with your therapist. We’ll follow your lead—whether you’re ready to share your story right away or need time to feel comfortable. There’s no right or wrong pace.
  2. Goal Planning
Once we’ve established a connection, we’ll work together to identify your goals for therapy. For some, these goals are concrete and specific. For others, they are broad and evolving. Both are equally welcome. With your goals in mind, we’ll talk about how we can work together to reach them, and we’ll check in regularly to ensure our sessions are meeting your needs.
  3. Concluding our Work Together
The process of closure in therapy is a thoughtful, collaborative transition—not an abrupt ending. Together, we’ll review your progress, celebrate your growth, and equip you with tools and strategies for continued well-being. You’ll leave with a clear plan for navigating life’s challenges and the knowledge that our door is always open if you need support again in the future.

How will I Know if it's the Right Fit?

Sometimes we know we need support, but it can be hard to put into words what that looks like. If you recognize yourself in any of these experiences, our work together at Radish Counseling might be a good fit.
